  • My Career Mapping Tool – An interactive career exploration resource that helps you to map a long-term career path at VA, both within and outside of your current occupational family
  • VA Career Guides – An online resource that provides detailed information on each of VA’s occupational families and related jobs, such as knowledge areas, locations and examples of training and development activities
  • Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2010-11 Edition, from the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics – A resource that provides information on many types of jobs, related training and education, earnings, job duties and working conditions. View links to information about the job market in each state.

  • Workplace Learning – Provides information on how you can learn and develop in your job
  • Graduate School USA – View training and development opportunities, academic courses (for credit) and evening and weekend programs geared toward public sector employees at all levels
  • Go Learn, U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) – Provides federal employees a full range of Web-accessible training and services, such as IT, computer desktop, business, HR and professional training using live "e-structors," subject matter experts, and live telephone mentoring
  • National Defense University (NDU) – Prepares future leaders of U.S. civilian government agencies, the military, and Department of Defense and foreign nationals for senior-level policy and organizational responsibilities through an internationally recognized graduate-level university

  • Chief Acquisition Officers Council – Provides a senior level forum and resources for acquisition professionals in the Executive Branch to work collaboratively to monitor and improve the federal acquisition system
  • Defense Acquisition University (DAU) – Provides federal government acquisition employees a full range of basic, intermediate and advanced acquisition certification training, assignment-specific training, applied research and continuous learning opportunities
  • VA Acquisitions Academy – Addresses the growing acquisition workforce challenge facing the Department of Veterans Affairs and the federal government overall. The Academy consists of three schools: Acquisition Internship School, Contracting Professional School and Program Management School
